On April 19, 2018,the launching ceremony of Huai'an's application for UCCN City of Gastronomy and the high-end Seminar on the development of Huai'an cuisine industry were held in Huai'an, Jiangsu province. Huai'an announces that it has officially launched the application for UCCN City of Gastronomy and issued the Declaration on the Inheritance and Development of Huaiyang Cuisine. Qiaojie, vice president of China Cuisine Association, Zhou Dazhi, president of Jiangsu Catering Industry Association, and leaders from Jiangsu Food and Pharmaceutical Science College, Huaiyang Cuisine Group, Huaiyang Cuisine Culture Research Institute and catering industry association in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui , Jiangsu and other relevant provinces and representatives of gastronomy cities of Chengdu, Shunde and Macao, guests of the World Chinese Business Association, relevant leaders and units of Huai’an municipal departments, catering enterprises and other experts, scholars and cooks were present. They provided suggestions for the cultural inheritance and innovative development of Huaiyang cuisine.
